Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Birches along a hay field by Julius Jacobus van de Sande Bakhuyzen was sold in the European Noble and Private Collections incl. Fine Paintings auction at Christies in Amsterdam in December 2010. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 1,250.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julius Jacobus van de Sande Bakhuyzen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A herdsman driving cattle through a heath landscape in October 2000 with an auction result of NLG 52,659.00 (€ 25,274.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Birches along a hay field von Julius Jacobus van de Sande Bakhuyzen wurde im Dezember 2010 in der Auktion European Noble and Private Collections incl. Fine Paintings bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 1.250,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Julius Jacobus van de Sande Bakhuyzen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A herdsman driving cattle through a heath landscape im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 52.659,00 (€ 25.274,58).
