Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2007 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work Cattle In A Summer Landscape by Julius Jacobus van de Sande Bakhuyzen. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 8,650.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Julius Jacobus van de Sande Bakhuyzen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A herdsman driving cattle through a heath landscape, which sold at auction in October 2000 for NLG 52,659.00 (€ 25,274.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2007 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cattle In A Summer Landscape von Julius Jacobus van de Sande Bakhuyzen zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 8.650,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Julius Jacobus van de Sande Bakhuyzen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A herdsman driving cattle through a heath landscape beobachtet, die im Oktober 2000 für NLG 52.659,00 (€ 25.274,58) versteigert wurde.
