Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Hice bien quererte (I Did Well Loving You) by Julio Galán was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2019. It achieved a price of USD 93,750.00 (€ 85,080.32), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Julio Galán - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Silenzio, which sold at auction in September last year for USD 201,600.00 (€ 206,071.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Hice bien quererte (I Did Well Loving You) von Julio Galán kam im November 2019 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 93.750,00 (€ 85.080,32) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Für andere Arbeiten von Julio Galán mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Silenzio beobachtet, die im September letzten Jahres für USD 201.600,00 (€ 206.071,76) versteigert wurde.
