Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made In California, which included the work Lunes y Viernes, 1985 by Julio Galán. Here, the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 12,112.50 (€ 12,381.17). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julio Galán achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Silenzio in September last year with an auction result of USD 201,600.00 (€ 206,071.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made In California durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lunes y Viernes, 1985 von Julio Galán zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 12.112,50 (€ 12.381,17) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Julio Galán erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Silenzio im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 201.600,00 (€ 206.071,76).
