Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March this year Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work No tengo sueños by Julio Galán. The »bidding war« ended at USD 52,920.00 (€ 48,675.50), 18% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Julio Galán have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Silenzio in September last year with an auction result of USD 201,600.00 (€ 206,071.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit No tengo sueños von Julio Galán zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 52.920,00 (€ 48.675,50) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Julio Galán auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Silenzio im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 201.600,00 (€ 206.071,76).
