In October this year Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art Online, which included the work Girl with Guitar by Julio Galán. The »bidding war« ended at USD 18,900.00 (€ 17,884.18), 58% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julio Galán achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Silenzio in September last year with an auction result of USD 201,600.00 (€ 206,071.76).

Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Girl with Guitar von Julio Galán zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 18.900,00 (€ 17.884,18) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Julio Galán erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Silenzio im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 201.600,00 (€ 206.071,76).
