Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Si tu te vas, yo me quedo hasta el final by Julio Galán. The price achieved of USD 100,800.00 (€ 92,715.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Julio Galán - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Silenzio, which sold at auction in September last year for USD 201,600.00 (€ 206,071.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Si tu te vas, yo me quedo hasta el final von Julio Galán zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 100.800,00 (€ 92.715,23) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Julio Galán mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Silenzio beobachtet, die im September letzten Jahres für USD 201.600,00 (€ 206.071,76) versteigert wurde.
