In the Impressionist & Modern Art Online auction, the work Locomotora Abstracta changed hands for USD 6,875.00 (€ 6,001.22) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julio Alpuy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Construcción en madera in September last year with an auction result of USD 81,900.00 (€ 83,716.65).
