Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Silencio by Julio Alpuy was sold in the Latin America auction at Phillips in New York in November 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,500.00 (€ 3,313.77) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julio Alpuy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Construcción en madera in September last year with an auction result of USD 81,900.00 (€ 83,716.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Silencio von Julio Alpuy wurde im November 2015 in der Auktion Latin America bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.500,00 (€ 3.313,77) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Julio Alpuy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Construcción en madera im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.900,00 (€ 83.716,65).
