This work without title by Julio Alpuy was sold in the Latin American Art Online auction at Christies in New York in May 2018. The »bidding war« ended at USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,066.84), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Julio Alpuy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Construcción en madera in September last year with an auction result of USD 81,900.00 (€ 83,716.65).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Julio Alpuy wurde im Mai 2018 in der Auktion Latin American Art Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.066,84) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Julio Alpuy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Construcción en madera im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.900,00 (€ 83.716,65).
