Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by Julie Mehretu was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in New York in March this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 22,860.00 (€ 21,026.49). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julie Mehretu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Black Ground (Deep Light) in April 2019 with an auction result of HKD 44,209,000.00 (€ 5,032,271.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Julie Mehretu wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 22.860,00 (€ 21.026,49) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Julie Mehretu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Black Ground (Deep Light) im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 44.209.000,00 (€ 5.032.271,67).
