Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Among the Multitude III by Julie Mehretu was auctioned at Christies in July this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 2,772.00 (€ 2,515.43) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julie Mehretu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Black Ground (Deep Light) in April 2019 with an auction result of HKD 44,209,000.00 (€ 5,032,271.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Among the Multitude III von Julie Mehretu kam im Juli diesen Jahres bei Christies zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 2.772,00 (€ 2.515,43) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Julie Mehretu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Black Ground (Deep Light) im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 44.209.000,00 (€ 5.032.271,67).
