Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Among the Multitude III by Julie Mehretu was worth GBP 5,544.00 (€ 6,292.53) to a buyer in January this year. This price was achieved in the auction Evening & Day Editions at Phillips in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julie Mehretu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Black Ground (Deep Light) in April 2019 with an auction result of HKD 44,209,000.00 (€ 5,032,271.67).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit Among the Multitude III von Julie Mehretu war einem Käufer im Januar diesen Jahres GBP 5.544,00 (€ 6.292,53) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Evening & Day Editions bei Phillips in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Julie Mehretu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Black Ground (Deep Light) im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 44.209.000,00 (€ 5.032.271,67).
