This artwork by Julião Sarmento achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in June 2015. In the ART CONTEMPORAIN VENTE DU SOIR auction, the work Consentimento Evocativo de Ternuras sold for EUR 30,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Julião Sarmento - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Emma 4, which sold at auction in February 2004 for GBP 50,190.00 (€ 74,936.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Julião Sarmento erzielte im Juni 2015 bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion ART CONTEMPORAIN VENTE DU SOIR wurde die Arbeit Consentimento Evocativo de Ternuras für EUR 30.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Julião Sarmento mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Emma 4 beobachtet, die im Februar 2004 für GBP 50.190,00 (€ 74.936,04) versteigert wurde.
