Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work "Waiting (Stella)", 2014 by Julia Peirone was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in April last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 12,000.00 – 15,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 7,500.00 (€ 726.01). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Julia Peirone - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Girl with plastic earring", 2004, which sold at auction in May 2013 for SEK 16,000.00 (€ 1,860.18).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit "Waiting (Stella)", 2014 von Julia Peirone im April letzten Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 12.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 7.500,00 (€ 726,01) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Julia Peirone mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "Girl with plastic earring", 2004 beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für SEK 16.000,00 (€ 1.860,18) versteigert wurde.
