Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Julia Peirone could be acquired at Bukowski in Stockholm in April last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art & Design auction, the work "Waiting (Norma)", 2014 changed hands for SEK 7,500.00 (€ 726.01) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of SEK 12,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Julia Peirone - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Girl with plastic earring", 2004, which sold at auction in May 2013 for SEK 16,000.00 (€ 1,860.18).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Julia Peirone konnte im April letzten Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art & Design wechselte die Arbeit "Waiting (Norma)", 2014 für SEK 7.500,00 (€ 726,01) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 12.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Julia Peirone mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "Girl with plastic earring", 2004 beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für SEK 16.000,00 (€ 1.860,18) versteigert wurde.
