Sold at the upper estimate price
The work O.T. 4.9.00 by Julia Mangold was sold in the First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in July 2017. The auction ended at the price of USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,227.97), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Julia Mangold - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled, 12.11.00, which sold at auction in February 2014 for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 16,682.06).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit O.T. 4.9.00 von Julia Mangold wurde im Juli 2017 in der Auktion First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 4.227,97) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Julia Mangold mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled, 12.11.00 beobachtet, die im Februar 2014 für GBP 13.750,00 (€ 16.682,06) versteigert wurde.
