Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art, Including Russian Art, which included the work Le Pont Neuf by Jules Eugène Pages. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 21,250.00 (€ 16,399.14) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jules Eugène Pages - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sur le zinc, which sold at auction in October 2016 for USD 56,250.00 (€ 51,313.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art, Including Russian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Pont Neuf von Jules Eugène Pages zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 21.250,00 (€ 16.399,14) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Jules Eugène Pages mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sur le zinc beobachtet, die im Oktober 2016 für USD 56.250,00 (€ 51.313,63) versteigert wurde.
