A top price for Jules Eugène Pages - as previously expected
The work Sur le zinc by Jules Eugène Pages was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Christies in New York in October 2016. It changed hands for a price of USD 56,250.00 (€ 51,313.63) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Sur le zinc is the most expensive artwork by Jules Eugène Pages that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Sur le zinc von Jules Eugène Pages wurde im Oktober 2016 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 51.313,63) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Sur le zinc das teuerste Kunstwerk von Jules Eugène Pages, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
