Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In August this year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California Art, which included the work Chinatown by Jules Eugène Pages. Here, the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 7,040.00 (€ 6,495.06). Admittedly, works by Jules Eugène Pages have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sur le zinc in October 2016 with an auction result of USD 56,250.00 (€ 51,313.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im August diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Chinatown von Jules Eugène Pages zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 7.040,00 (€ 6.495,06) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jules Eugène Pages auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sur le zinc im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 51.313,63).
