Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In August this year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California Art, which included the work Boats in a Harbor by Jules Eugène Pages. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,320.00 (€ 7,675.98), 19% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jules Eugène Pages have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sur le zinc in October 2016 with an auction result of USD 56,250.00 (€ 51,313.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im August diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Boats in a Harbor von Jules Eugène Pages zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.320,00 (€ 7.675,98) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jules Eugène Pages auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sur le zinc im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 51.313,63).
