Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jules de Balincourt achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in July 2020. In the New Now auction, the work Unspecific Things in Specific Spaces sold for GBP 83,750.00 (€ 93,416.74) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jules de Balincourt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work US World Studies II, which sold at auction in June 2010 for GBP 277,250.00 (€ 337,161.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jules de Balincourt erzielte im Juli 2020 bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion New Now wurde die Arbeit Unspecific Things in Specific Spaces für GBP 83.750,00 (€ 93.416,74) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jules de Balincourt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit US World Studies II beobachtet, die im Juni 2010 für GBP 277.250,00 (€ 337.161,81) versteigert wurde.
