Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2019 Phillips in New York held the auction Artist | Icon | Inspiration: Women in Photography Presented with Peter Fetterman, which included the work Imogen and Twinka at Yosemite by Judy Dater. The price achieved of USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,318.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Judy Dater - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Imogen and Twinka at Yosemite, 1974, which sold at auction in February 2008 for USD 15,000.00 (€ 9,876.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2019 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Artist | Icon | Inspiration: Women in Photography Presented with Peter Fetterman durch, in der auch die Arbeit Imogen and Twinka at Yosemite von Judy Dater zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.318,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Judy Dater mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Imogen and Twinka at Yosemite, 1974 beobachtet, die im Februar 2008 für USD 15.000,00 (€ 9.876,87) versteigert wurde.
