The work Imogen and Twinka, Yosemite by Judy Dater was sold in the Photographs auction at Bonhams in New York in April 2021. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,845.00 (€ 4,027.43), 62% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Judy Dater - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Imogen and Twinka at Yosemite, 1974, which sold at auction in February 2008 for USD 15,000.00 (€ 9,876.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 62 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Imogen and Twinka, Yosemite von Judy Dater wurde im April 2021 in der Auktion Photographs bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 4.845,00 (€ 4.027,43) und damit 62% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Judy Dater mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Imogen and Twinka at Yosemite, 1974 beobachtet, die im Februar 2008 für USD 15.000,00 (€ 9.876,87) versteigert wurde.
