Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May last year Christies in New York held the auction Adams & Company: Photographs of the American West Including Property from the Peter Fetterman Collection, which included the work Imogen and Twinka at Yosemite, California, 1974 by Judy Dater. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,292.00 (€ 4,931.51). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Judy Dater - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Imogen and Twinka at Yosemite, 1974, which sold at auction in February 2008 for USD 15,000.00 (€ 9,876.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Adams & Company: Photographs of the American West Including Property from the Peter Fetterman Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Imogen and Twinka at Yosemite, California, 1974 von Judy Dater zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 5.292,00 (€ 4.931,51) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Judy Dater mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Imogen and Twinka at Yosemite, 1974 beobachtet, die im Februar 2008 für USD 15.000,00 (€ 9.876,87) versteigert wurde.
