Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Recuerdo De Chalma by Juan O'Gorman. The price achieved of USD 100,800.00 (€ 82,663.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Juan O'Gorman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Consumatum Est in May last year with an auction result of USD 378,000.00 (€ 352,250.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Recuerdo De Chalma von Juan O'Gorman zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 100.800,00 (€ 82.663,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Juan O'Gorman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Consumatum Est im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 378.000,00 (€ 352.250,49).
