Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work London Conversation Piece I by Juan Muñoz was sold in the POST-WAR AND CONTEMPORARY EVENING SALE auction at Christies in London in February 2003. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 83,650.00 (€ 122,126.36). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Juan Muñoz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May this year for USD 403,200.00 (€ 378,449.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit London Conversation Piece I von Juan Muñoz wurde im Februar 2003 in der Auktion POST-WAR AND CONTEMPORARY EVENING SALE bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 83.650,00 (€ 122.126,36) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Juan Muñoz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Mai diesen Jahres für USD 403.200,00 (€ 378.449,41) versteigert wurde.
