Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Juan Muñoz was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2003. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,465.00 (€ 6,409.57) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Juan Muñoz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May this year with an auction result of USD 403,200.00 (€ 378,449.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Juan Muñoz kam im November 2003 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.465,00 (€ 6.409,57) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Juan Muñoz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 403.200,00 (€ 378.449,41).
