Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of GBP 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 51,650.00 (€ 57,141.12). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joan Hernández Pijuan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Entre les 7 i les 8, which sold at auction in October 2007 for EUR 138,250.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Xiprer Negre (Black Cypress) von Joan Hernández Pijuan kam im Juni 2011 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 51.650,00 (€ 57.141,12) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Joan Hernández Pijuan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Entre les 7 i les 8 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für EUR 138.250,00 versteigert wurde.
