Upper estimate price exceeded by 38 %.
The work El avion by Juan Genovés was auctioned at Christies in Paris in December 2018. It achieved a price of EUR 68,750.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 38 %. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Juan Genovés - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Columna I, which sold at auction in November last year for USD 151,200.00 (€ 146,469.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit El avion von Juan Genovés kam im Dezember 2018 bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 68.750,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 38 %. Für andere Arbeiten von Juan Genovés mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Columna I beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für USD 151.200,00 (€ 146.469,05) versteigert wurde.
