Sold at the upper estimate price
In April 2011 Christies in London held the auction Old Master, Decorative, Modern & Contemporary Prints, which included the work An English Village by Joseph Webb. The auction ended at the price of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,126.17), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joseph Webb - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Doors Of The Heart , which sold at auction in February 2019 for GBP 2,375.00 (€ 2,770.52).
