Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Girl Resting by Joseph Solman was sold in the Modern Discoveries auction at Sothebys in New York in March last year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 2,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 2,772.00 (€ 2,498.87). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joseph Solman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sewing Basket and Lamp, which sold at auction in March last year for USD 8,925.00 (€ 8,045.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Girl Resting von Joseph Solman wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern Discoveries bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 2.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 2.772,00 (€ 2.498,87) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Joseph Solman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sewing Basket and Lamp beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für USD 8.925,00 (€ 8.045,61) versteigert wurde.
