Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Joseph Raffael could be acquired at Christies in Los Angeles in December 2000 for an unexpectedly low price. In the MODERN, POST-WAR AND CONTEMPORARY PRINTS auction, the work Untitled; Untitled; and Untitled changed hands for USD 1,880.00 (€ 2,002.56) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Raffael achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lily Shadow and Reflection in July 2016 with an auction result of USD 32,500.00 (€ 29,101.00).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Joseph Raffael konnte im Dezember 2000 bei Christies in Los Angeles für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion MODERN, POST-WAR AND CONTEMPORARY PRINTS wechselte die Arbeit Untitled; Untitled; and Untitled für USD 1.880,00 (€ 2.002,56) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joseph Raffael erzielen.
