Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Joseph Raffael achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Los Angeles in December 2000. In the MODERN, POST-WAR AND CONTEMPORARY PRINTS auction, the work Haiku Fish II; III; and IV sold for USD 4,112.50 (€ 4,380.59) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Joseph Raffael have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lily Shadow and Reflection in July 2016 with an auction result of USD 32,500.00 (€ 29,101.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Joseph Raffael erzielte im Dezember 2000 bei Christies in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion MODERN, POST-WAR AND CONTEMPORARY PRINTS wurde die Arbeit Haiku Fish II; III; and IV für USD 4.112,50 (€ 4.380,59) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joseph Raffael auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lily Shadow and Reflection im Juli 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 29.101,00).
