Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2001 a collector was able to acquire the work Returning home by Joseph Horlor for GBP 681.50 (€ 1,084.48). This price was achieved in the auction BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PICTURES at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joseph Horlor - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hauling in the nets (illustrated); and Fishermen on the coast, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 2,040.00 (€ 3,002.00).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2001 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Returning home von Joseph Horlor für GBP 681,50 (€ 1.084,48) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PICTURES bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Joseph Horlor mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hauling in the nets (illustrated); and Fishermen on the coast beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für GBP 2.040,00 (€ 3.002,00) versteigert wurde.
