Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2000 a collector was able to acquire the work Figures on a coastal path at sunset by Joseph Horlor for GBP 1,410.00 (€ 2,304.59). This price was achieved in the auction British and Victorian Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Joseph Horlor have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in May 2007 by the work Hauling in the nets (illustrated); and Fishermen on the coast at GBP 2,040.00 (€ 3,002.00).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2000 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Figures on a coastal path at sunset von Joseph Horlor für GBP 1.410,00 (€ 2.304,59) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British and Victorian Pictures bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Joseph Horlor wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Mai 2007 die Arbeit Hauling in the nets (illustrated); and Fishermen on the coast mit GBP 2.040,00 (€ 3.002,00).
