Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Domino, 1989/90 by Josef Staub was auctioned at Christies in Zurich in May 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of CHF 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of CHF 4,200.00 (€ 3,374.42) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Josef Staub have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Apollo in May 2011 with an auction result of EUR 30,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Domino, 1989/90 von Josef Staub kam im Mai 2013 bei Christies in Zürich zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von CHF 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von CHF 4.200,00 (€ 3.374,42) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Josef Staub auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Apollo im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 30.000,00.
