Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ohne Titel, 1983 by Josef Staub was sold in the Schweizer Kunst / Swiss Art auction at Sothebys in Zurich in June 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of CHF 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of CHF 10,625.00 (€ 10,191.58) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Josef Staub - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Apollo, which sold at auction in May 2011 for EUR 30,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ohne Titel, 1983 von Josef Staub wurde im Juni 2015 in der Auktion Schweizer Kunst / Swiss Art bei Sothebys in Zürich versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von CHF 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von CHF 10.625,00 (€ 10.191,58) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Josef Staub mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Apollo beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für EUR 30.000,00 versteigert wurde.
