Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Ecco, 1998 by Josef Staub for CHF 2,880.00 (€ 2,603.51). This price was achieved in the auction Swiss Art at Christies in Zurich and was even below the estimate range of CHF 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Josef Staub achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Apollo in May 2011 with an auction result of EUR 30,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Ecco, 1998 von Josef Staub für CHF 2.880,00 (€ 2.603,51) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Swiss Art bei Christies in Zürich erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von CHF 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Josef Staub erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Apollo im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 30.000,00.
