Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by José Joya achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2019. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Morning Session) auction, the work without title sold for HKD 562,500.00 (€ 64,377.97) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 240,000.00. Admittedly, works by José Joya have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Elysium in May 2017 with an auction result of HKD 5,100,000.00 (€ 582,351.37).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von José Joya erzielte im Mai 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Morning Session) wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für HKD 562.500,00 (€ 64.377,97) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 240.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von José Joya auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Elysium im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.100.000,00 (€ 582.351,37).
