Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Untitled (triptych) by José Joya was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in December 2021. It achieved a price of HKD 604,800.00 (€ 68,506.24), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 21%. Admittedly, works by José Joya have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Elysium in May 2017 with an auction result of HKD 5,100,000.00 (€ 582,351.37).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled (triptych) von José Joya kam im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 604.800,00 (€ 68.506,24) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 21%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von José Joya auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Elysium im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.100.000,00 (€ 582.351,37).
