Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by José Joya achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2019. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Morning Session auction, the work Persistent Orange sold for HKD 350,000.00 (€ 40,593.52) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by José Joya achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Elysium in May 2017 with an auction result of HKD 5,100,000.00 (€ 582,351.37).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von José Joya erzielte im November 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Morning Session wurde die Arbeit Persistent Orange für HKD 350.000,00 (€ 40.593,52) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von José Joya erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Elysium im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.100.000,00 (€ 582.351,37).
