The work Time Symbol by José Joya was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2020. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 2,125,000.00 (€ 224,141.46), 33% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by José Joya - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Elysium, which sold at auction in May 2017 for HKD 5,100,000.00 (€ 582,351.37).

Die Arbeit Time Symbol von José Joya wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art Evening Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 2.125.000,00 (€ 224.141,46) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von José Joya mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Elysium beobachtet, die im Mai 2017 für HKD 5.100.000,00 (€ 582.351,37) versteigert wurde.
