In October 2006 Christies in Madrid held the auction Spanish Sale - Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture from Old Master Pictures to Contemporary Art., which included the work Azul de Prusia by José Guerrero. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 114,000.00 43% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by José Guerrero - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Comienzo, 1982, which sold at auction in October 2007 for EUR 228,250.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 43 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2006 führte Christies in Madrid die Auktion Spanish Sale - Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture from Old Master Pictures to Contemporary Art. durch, in der auch die Arbeit Azul de Prusia von José Guerrero zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 114.000,00 und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von José Guerrero mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Comienzo, 1982 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für EUR 228.250,00 versteigert wurde.
