Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by José de Creeft could be acquired at Christies in New York in February 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Living With Art auction, the work Self-Portrait changed hands for USD 625.00 (€ 575.08) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by José de Creeft achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cubist Figure in February 2016 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 36,805.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von José de Creeft konnte im Februar 2016 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Living With Art wechselte die Arbeit Self-Portrait für USD 625,00 (€ 575,08) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von José de Creeft erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cubist Figure im Februar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 36.805,30).
