Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jose Dávila achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in November 2013. In the Latin America auction, the work without title sold for USD 37,500.00 (€ 27,561.37) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jose Dávila; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Buildings You Must See Before You Die sold at auction in April last year with the realized price of USD 52,920.00 (€ 50,223.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jose Dávila erzielte im November 2013 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Latin America wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 37.500,00 (€ 27.561,37) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jose Dávila; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Buildings You Must See Before You Die im April letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 52.920,00 (€ 50.223,02).
