This artwork by Jose Dávila achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in May 2017. In the Latin America auction, the work Topologías sold for USD 37,500.00 (€ 33,374.87) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jose Dávila; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Buildings You Must See Before You Die sold at auction in April last year with the realized price of USD 52,920.00 (€ 50,223.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jose Dávila erzielte im Mai 2017 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Latin America wurde die Arbeit Topologías für USD 37.500,00 (€ 33.374,87) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jose Dávila; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Buildings You Must See Before You Die im April letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 52.920,00 (€ 50.223,02).
