This artwork by Jose Dávila achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in May 2017. In the Latin America auction, the work Topologías sold for USD 37,500.00 (€ 33,374.87) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jose Dávila; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Buildings You Must See Before You Die sold at auction in April last year with the realized price of USD 52,920.00 (€ 50,223.02).
