Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jose Dávila achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in May 2014. In the Latin America auction, the work Paisaje topográfico (Tríptico) sold for USD 20,000.00 (€ 14,662.76) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jose Dávila - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Buildings You Must See Before You Die, which sold at auction in April last year for USD 52,920.00 (€ 50,223.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jose Dávila erzielte im Mai 2014 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Latin America wurde die Arbeit Paisaje topográfico (Tríptico) für USD 20.000,00 (€ 14.662,76) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jose Dávila mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Buildings You Must See Before You Die beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für USD 52.920,00 (€ 50.223,02) versteigert wurde.
