In March 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Mupala by José Bedia. The »bidding war« ended at USD 25,200.00 (€ 21,459.59), 26% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by José Bedia - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work !Ay Tatá! ?Hasta Cuándo?, which sold at auction in November 2006 for USD 61,200.00 (€ 46,150.37).

Im März 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mupala von José Bedia zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 25.200,00 (€ 21.459,59) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von José Bedia mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit !Ay Tatá! ?Hasta Cuándo? beobachtet, die im November 2006 für USD 61.200,00 (€ 46.150,37) versteigert wurde.
