Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Homage al objeto no decomisado by José Bedia was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session auction at Phillips in New York in November last year. The price achieved of USD 15,120.00 (€ 14,646.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by José Bedia - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work !Ay Tatá! ?Hasta Cuándo?, which sold at auction in November 2006 for USD 61,200.00 (€ 46,150.37).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 15.120,00 (€ 14.646,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von José Bedia mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit !Ay Tatá! ?Hasta Cuándo? beobachtet, die im November 2006 für USD 61.200,00 (€ 46.150,37) versteigert wurde.
